Frequently Asked Questions

The geophone test failed, what can I do?

Make sure you have connected the geophones correctly and that the contacts are clean.

How does calibration work?

The MAE X820S, X824S and ST24 instruments do not require periodic adjustments or calibrations by the user. Therefore, under normal conditions of use and storage, they are not subject to a mandatory calibration deadline.
However, to verify the correct functioning and performance of the equipment over time, MAE recommends subjecting the instrument to a functional and metrological check approximately every 3-5 years, depending on the frequency and intensity of use, environmental conditions and storage methods.
For this purpose, the instrument can be sent to an authorized laboratory, which will carry out the testing and verification tests required by its internal procedure again and issue the relevant certificate.
For information on the authorized laboratory you can contact MAE support.
